Managing Terraforming Zones

Terraforming Zones lets you flatten terrain surfaces in an environment, and modify their details.

This task shows you how to:

Add Terraforming Zones

You can add terraforming zones to an environment.

  1. In the Terraforming Zones panel, click Add a Terraforming Zone.
  2. Click to place the terraforming zone on the terrain surface.

Edit Terraforming Zones

You can edit terraforming zones in an environment.

  1. Select a shape for the zone: Circle or Rectangular.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • If the terraforming zone is a circle, enter a radius value.
    • If the terraforming zone is a rectangle, enter width and height values. To define the orientation, enter a value or move the slider.
  3. To define the elevation of a zone, move the slider or enter a value.
  4. To define the smoothness of a zone, move the slider or enter a value.
  5. Select one or more options:
    • To change the elevation of a terrain, select Shift Elevation.
    • To remove terrain details (for example bumps), select Terrain Details .
    • To remove forests from a zone, select Forests.
    • To remove vegetation from a zone, select Vegetation.
