Creating 3D Tags

3D Tag lets you display text with leader on geometrical features by selecting points or vertices as leader points.

Before you begin: Open a 3D Shape containing geometry.
  1. Select a point or a vertex and enter a text in the Label text box.
A 3D tag with the entered text is created at the selected point or vertex and a 3D Tag.x feature is added to the tree.
  2. Select several points or vertices and enter a text in the Label text box.
A 3D tag with the entered text is created at the barycenter of the selected points or vertices. It has one leader for each selected point or vertex.
  3. Double-click the text in the work area or the 3D Tag.x feature in the tree.
  4. In the work area, move the text label to another position.
  5. To remove the text leader, click one of the selected points.
  6. To put the text leader back, click the same point again.
  7. Click OK to close the dialog box.
  8. Right-click the text in the work area or the 3D Tag.x feature in the tree.
  9. Select Reset Position to restore the original text position.
  10. Double-click one of the input features in the tree.
  11. Modify the geometry.
