Creating Spherical Surfaces

Sphere lets you create surfaces in the shape of a sphere. The spherical surface is based on a center point, an axis-system defining the meridian and parallel curves orientation, and angular limits.

Before you begin: Create a 3D shape containing a point and an axis system.
  1. In the Center box, select the center point of the sphere.
  2. In the Axis box, select an axis-system.
  3. Click Preview.
  4. In the Radius box, enter the radius value or use the arrows to modify the radius value.
  5. In the Limitations Type, do one of the following:
    • Click <icon> to specify the parallel angles and meridian angles as required.
      Important:
      • Parallel angular limits are comprised within the -90deg and 90deg range.
      • Meridian angular limits are comprised within the -360deg and 360deg range.
    • Click to create the whole sphere based on the center point and the radius.
  6. Click OK.
