Creating Planes Between Other Planes

Planes Between lets you create a specified number of planes between two planes in only one operation.

Before you begin: Create a 3D shape containing at least two planes.
  1. Select the two planes between which the new planes shall be created.
  2. Click Planes Between .
  3. In the Instance(s) box, specify the number of planes.
  4. Click Preview to view the created planes.
  5. Optional: Select the Create in a new Body check box.
    A new geometrical set containing only the repeated planes will be created.
  6. To reverse the direction of the planes creation, click .
  7. Click OK to create the planes.
    The planes (identified as Plane.xxx) are added to the tree.

Warning:
  • Selecting sub-elements of a feature (edges or faces, for example) or of an axis system (xy plane, for example) is not allowed.
  • Performing a local Undo is unavailable with this command.
