Adding Hyperlinks

You can add hyperlinks to annotation features, including flag notes, notes, object attributes, data reference frames, restricted areas, annotation sets, capture annotation views, and construction geometry.

Four types of hyperlinks can be specified with the following behavior:

  • A URL: Opens the page in the default browser.
  • A document: Opens the document with the associated editor.
  • A representation: Opens the representation or the physical product reference in the app.
  • A requirement: Opens in the Embedded Central window.
Important: Requires ENOVIA Rich Client Interface for Governance installation app (including the licence).

Before you begin: Open a 3D shape containing annotations.
  1. Right-click an annotation, and select Hyperlinks.
    The Hyperlinks dialog box appears.
  2. Click Add an URL in the Hyperlinks dialog box.
The Title and Address boxes are editable.
  3. Enter a title name along with a URL.
  4. Enter a comment, and click OK.
Now, if you hover over the annotation, a tooltip containing both the URL and comment is displayed.
Important: The comment is not retrieved in the drawing view.
