Creating a Circle with Three Points

You can define a circle by defining any three points lying on the circle.

  1. From the Wireframe section of the action bar, click Circle .
  2. In the Circle type list, select Three points.
  3. In the Point 1, Point 2 and Point 3 boxes, select three points where the circle is to be created.
    Depending on the active Circle Limitations icon, the corresponding circle or circular arc is displayed. For a circular arc, you can specify the trimmed or complementary arc using the two of the selected points as end points.

  4. In the Support box, select the plane or surface where the circle is to be created.

    Note: To project the circle onto the support plane or surface, click .

  5. To specify the axis computation mode, select the Axis computation check box.
  6. To specify the center computation mode, select the Center computation check box.
  7. Click OK to create the circle or circular arc.
    The circle (identified as Circle.xxx ) is added to the tree.
