About the Instantiation of Power Copies

This topic provides you with information about the instantiation of power copies.

There are six types of instantiation:

  • From a representation.
  • From a selection.
  • From a catalog.
  • Using a VB macro.
  • Using the Step by step instantiation option.
  • Using the Part comparison instantiation option.

Ensure that you have the 3D Templates Capture license.

Important: Working with the datum mode is independent from the instantiation type: indeed power copies behave as a Copy as Specified and not as a Copy as Result.
