Checking and Repairing a Model

Use Check and Repair to check the quality and repair some pathologies of a model from another system.

  1. Select a surface or a body to analyze.
  2. Key in the values of the geometric criteria.
  3. Specify the maximum deformation distance allowed during repair.
  4. Optional: Select the Frozen canonics check box to freeze canonic surfaces and planes during repair.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Click a pathology.
  7. Click a list element to reframe on it in the 3D area.
    1. Show/Hide them as required.
    2. Select the Ghost mode for an easier visualization.
  8. Click Max Deformation Distance to analyze the distance between the repaired and the input model.
  9. In the 3D area, select a face that creates a defect.
    1. Use the context toolbar to remove it.
    The list of pathologies is updated accordingly.
  10. Select the corresponding Repair check boxes and click Apply to repair the pathologies.
    Check and Repair repairs pathologies whenever possible. Remaining pathologies are displayed.
