Creating the Nearest or the Farthest Entity of a Multiple Element
You can create the nearest or the farthest entity of an element
that is made up from several sub-elements.
Before you begin: Create a 3D shape containing an element made up from several sub-elements.
From the Prepare section of the action bar, click Near/Far
.
Select one of the following:
Option
Description
Creates an entity nearest to the reference element.
Creates an entity farthest from the reference element.
In the Multiple Element box, select the element that is made up from several
sub-elements.
In the Reference Element box, select a reference element
whose position is close to/ far from the sub-element that you want to
create.

Click OK.
Important:
The Near Definition dialog box is
automatically displayed, when a non-connected
element is detected at creation time so that you can directly choose
which element should be created.
Using the Preview option, a preview diagnostics is displayed in magenta color.
