Searching Face Neighbors

You can search the neighbors of a face, visualize them and transfer them to a dedicated Geometrical Set.

  1. Select the set of surfaces to analyze.
  2. From the Prepare section of the action bar, click Face Neighbors .
  3. Pick a face.
    Its name appears under Reference. A name of Geometrical Set is proposed next to Transfer to, for a future transfer.
  4. Click Apply.
    The face is highlighted in red in the work area, and its neighbors are displayed in blue.
  5. Pick another face if you want to search the neighbors of other faces.
    The display in the work area, the Reference, and the Transfer to boxes are updated dynamically.
  6. Set the Connection distance according to your needs.

    It is the distance below that two faces are considered as identical.

  7. If required, select another display color for neighbors from the list.
  8. To transfer the Reference and its neighbor faces to a dedicated Geometrical Set.
    1. Optional: Edit the name Neighbors_NameOfReference proposed by default for this Geometrical Set.
    2. Click Transfer to.

    The Geometrical Set Neighbors_NameOfReference is created.

    The Reference face and its neighbor faces are moved from their initial body to Neighbors_NameOfReference.
