Realistic electrical, structural, and fluid (blood) flow physics govern the dynamic response of the Heart Model. You can use the Heart Model to study the electrical behavior of the heart by itself or to examine its coupled electromechanical behavior. In the latter behavior, an electrical excitation drives the mechanical response. Although the Heart Model represents a healthy heart, you can also study abnormal (diseased) states by modifying any of its geometry, material properties, and loads and boundary conditions. In addition, you can introduce other parts into the model (such as medical devices) to study their influence on cardiac function and explore treatment options. The Connected Living Heart Human Model allows you to use the Abaqus Study 3DEXPERIENCE dashboard app to simulate the model with Abaqus® while accessing Heart Model data from the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. The app stores results data on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, and you can view them with Abaqus/Viewer or Physics Results Explorer. In addition, Abaqus Study provides access to Dassault Systèmes cloud-based computing resources. Alternatively, you can use the Connector for Abaqus/CAE dashboard app to start Abaqus/CAE and use the File menu to access Heart Model data on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. For information on working with the Heart Model using native Physics Simulation apps on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, see the SIMULIA Living Heart Human Model user guide for this release. |
