Tips for Modifying the Heart Model

The following topics describe some of the common modifications that you might want to make to the Heart Model.

You can edit any of the Heart Model attributes and parameters that are accessible from Mechanical Scenario Creation. However, some attributes, such as the electrical and mechanical properties of the heart tissue, are defined using external files. To modify attributes defined in an external file, you must edit the accessory files provided with the Heart Model.

Similarly, if you want to edit the CAD geometry or define a new attribute that is not supported by the simulation object, you should edit the accessory files. If you need to add or modify model attributes using the accessory files, please contact SIMULIA for additional support.

The Heart Model includes a number of simulation processes that you can use to prepare the model for execution after you have modified the model and/or the accessory files. For more information, see The Heart Model Simulation Processes. You can use these simulation processes when you are working with the Heart Model on premises or on the cloud.
