Executing the Heart Model

You use the Mechanical Scenario Creation app to execute the Heart Model.

  1. In the Mechanical Scenario Creation app, open the tab containing the physics simulation.
  2. From the Simulate section of the action bar, click External Solve .

See “Performing a Batch Execution Using an External Tool” in the Mechanical Scenario Creation Guide.

  3. From the External solve dialog box that appears, do the following:
    1. From the Template field, click .
    2. From the Search field in the top bar, enter st: Living to search for the simulation template.
    3. From the search results, select the <duplication string>3DX Living Heart Simulation Experience object.

The template is selected in the External solve dialog box.

  4. Click Launch.

Mechanical Scenario Creation instantiates the simulation template and executes the resulting simulation process on the selected 3DOrchestrate station.

Note: Mechanical Scenario Creation instantiates the simulation template only if you select a new template; otherwise, the command skips the instantiation and executes the simulation process that was previously instantiated.

A monitor panel appears, from which you can follow the progress of the Heart Model simulation. You can also use the Simulation Job Monitor app on a 3DEXPERIENCE dashboard to follow the progress of the simulation. The table in Run-Time Performance provides an estimate of the run-time performance of the mechanical model.
