Placing Contextual Components

Contextual Instantiation lets you select the component template and place it at the required location.

Before you begin:
  • Create contextual components and add them to an engineering template.
  • Create a catalog or a library, add the engineering template in the catalog or the library, and assign this catalog/library to the resource table.
  • Create an assembly to place contextual components.
  1. In the Selected Eng Template box, select a template of a component.
Note: You can click Catalog Browser or Library Browser to select a template of a component.
  2. Under Input, select a face and the points where you want to place the component.

Note: You can select predefined values of the parameters in the list, if you have defined an engineering template for them.
