Place a Single Component
You can select a single component from the catalog and place it at the required location.
- From the Authoring section of the action bar, click Standard Instantiation
.
The Standard Positioned Part panel appears. -
In the Reference box, select a component.
Note: You can click Catalog Browser
or Library Browser
to select a component.
- In the Target box, select a surface to position the component.The Robot appears.
- Optional: Select the As Reference check box to duplicate the reference of a selected positioned part.The Public Parameters area displays all the public parameters. You can change the values of the parameters.
- Optional: Under Placement Information, select the required options.
- Select the Create Engineering Connection check box to create engineering connections between the standard positioned part and the host part.
From the Axis list, select the required axis system for positioning standard component.
The corresponding host type (Surface) is selected in the Host box.

to change the direction and angle of the component on the surface.

The components are placed at the required locations.
Notes:- You can rotate the component using the Robot.
- If the snapping planes are defined in the component, while positioning, the component gets snapped to the nearest Space Referential planes and snapping planes of the other components.
- Optional: To edit the component, click it in the 3D area and select the required option in the context toolbar.
