Working with Diagram Views

Creating a Diagram View

After creating a function or logical component to store your diagram view, you can then add a sheet and insert several views in it. If you want to use several sheets, you can store them in a layout.

Before you begin: Create a function or logical component to contain the diagram view.

In this example, we have created a logical component named Logical Diagram.

The scenario can also be performed in the functional category.

  1. Select the logical component that will store your view.
  2. Select the layout.
  3. Click Insert New Sheet .

Tip: You can also select a function or a logical component to create a sheet with no layout.

  4. In the Sheet dialog box, enter a name and click Finish.
  5. Select the sheet.
  6. Click Insert New View .

Tip: To create simultaneously a view and a new sheet, select a layout, a function, or a logical component.

  7. In the View dialog box, enter a name and click Finish.
  8. Click OK in the Change View Support dialog box.
  9. Double-click the view node to activate and display the view.
