Modifying Route Extremity

You can change an unconnected extremity of a route into a sheet connector and vice versa.

This task shows you how to:


Before you begin: In the tree, the following elements are created:
  • A logical reference under the Logical node is created.
  • A routable reference under the Logical node.
  • A component under the Logical node.

In an active diagram view, a component is placed. The routable has one of its extremities connected to the component and the other extremity ends in space or as a sheet connector depending on the scenario.

Switch from Unconnected Extremity to Sheet Connector

When a route has an unconnected extremity, you can replace this extremity by a sheet connector.

  1. In the diagram view, click the duct.

    Note: You can double-click the duct. It automatically changes the unconnected extremity into a sheet connector.

  2. On the context toolbar, click Switch to end with Sheet Connector .

    Note: The command is not available if the route has a sheet connector at another extremity.

Switch from Sheet Connector to Unconnected Extremity

When a route has a sheet connector as one of its extremities, you can modify this extremity and end it in space.

  1. In the diagram view, click the sheet connector.

    Note: You can double-click the sheet connector. It automatically changes the sheet connector into an unconnected extremity.

  2. On the context toolbar, click Switch to End Space .

    Note: The command is not available if the route is connected at both extremities.
