About Instrumentation and Control Routes

Instrumentation and control routes are used to perform measurement and control processes.

This page discusses:

Definition

I&C routes are derived systems created to perform the following processes:

  • Instrumentation: dedicated to the detection, observation, and measurement processes. This instrumentation is performed through indicators which measure, for example, the temperature, the flow or the pressure in a n hvac system.
  • Control: dedicated to the control through sensors that analyze data and provide feedback. According to the results, adjustments are made on the system.

I&C Loop Line IDs Membership

You can create I&C loop line IDs, and then transfer or display members under the selected line ID. The creation of an I&C loop line ID is also possible from the Spreadsheet.

Logical objects, custom types derived from them and hvac objects can be members of an I&C route.

The membership between an I&C loop line ID and a component is visible by editing the properties of a loop line ID and clicking the I&C tab.
