Creating a Duct

You can create a duct.

Before you begin: Create a logical reference.
  1. Select the logical reference.
  2. Click Create New Reference from the Edition section of the action bar.
The New Content dialog box appears.
  3. Expand the HVAC Logical tab and right-click Logical Duct.
  4. Optional: Select the Set attributes at creation option.

Note: This option remains selected when creating the same type of component.

  5. Click Logical Duct.
The Logical Duct dialog box appears.
Note: To inherit the attributes value from the line ID, use the Transfer Line ID command.
  6. Type a name and click OK.
A duct is created under the logical reference.
Note: A Fluid Route node is created under the Extensions node to store all the ducts.

In the active diagram view, the Create Duct dialog box appears. You can route your duct or close the Create Duct dialog box. For more information about routing ducts, see Routing a New Duct.
