Managing a HVAC Port Size

You can manage the hvac port size in the HVAC tab.

Before you begin: Open the logical hvac system to define a n hvac port size. For this scenario, create:
  • a n hvac component and assign the line ID to it.
  • hvac ports.

  1. In the tree or in the diagram view, right-click the hvac component and select Properties.
  2. In the Properties dialog box, select the HVAC tab.
    Notes:
    • The port's nominal size is inherited from the component to which the port belongs.
    • The text in the bracket (From Line ID) indicates that the values come from the line ID to which the component belongs.
    • The respective port number indicated in front of the Port Name is correlated to the one displayed in the 2D graphic area in yellow color. The display of the port number is independent from the options in Me > Preferences > App Preferences > 3D Modeling > Systems Architecture > Functional and Systems Design > Logical 2D > Display name on port.   3. Select the MultiSize Edit box to modify the nominal size values of the ports.
  4. In the Nominal Size lists, select the values for the ports.
  5. Click OK to validate the nominal size.
    The port nominal sizes are updated.

Notes:
  • For logical ducts, the hvac ports have the same nominal size as the logical duct itself.
  • Since the equipment does not have nominal size attribute, nominal size is not managed for them.
