Capturing Body Movements

Capture Body Movements creates basic animations based on simple movements of a human's body.

Important:
  • Animations created using this method cannot be modified afterwards.
  • You cannot control precisely the animation speed, as it depends directly on the manipulation speed after you run the command. Therefore, it is recommended to use this method for basic animations only. For more elaborate animations, consider using the Create Animation command.

Before you begin: Open the Edit Human panel by clicking Edit Human from the Design section of the action bar.
  1. In the Edit Human panel, change the posture of the human as many times as required, in the order in which you want the postures played in the animation.

You can define customized postures manually, or apply predefined postures.

Each posture change of the human is captured, and turned into a step of the animation to simulate body movements.
  2. In the Capture Body Movements panel, click Stop.
The animation timeline appears, providing a player for the animation.
  3. To play the animation, click the Play button in the Edit animation panel.
