Connecting a Mechanism to a Bone

Mechanism Connection lets you connect one or more bones to a mechanism.

This allows you to determine how the human model moves with respect to the mechanism.

For example, you can simulate the hand movements while turning a steering wheel.

  1. In the tree, under the product structure, select the human you want to connect to the mechanism.
  2. From the Human section of the action bar, click Mechanism Connection .
  3. In the tree or in the 3D area, choose a bone and then select a mechanism.
  4. To run the simulation preview, click in the Human Mechanism Connection panel.
  5. In the Mechanism Player, use the controls to animate your mechanism.

Important: This functionality only works with kinematics simulations.
