The HVAC designs you create in the HVAC Design apps can be used in drawings in the Drafting app. A "template" consisting of a set of parameters and options determines the appearance and behavior of HVAC components when extracted in a drawing. These Generative View Style parameters (commonly referred to as GVS) must be defined by an administrator. Administrators can create one or several Generative View Styles; users can then choose which one to use when creating a generative view. The GVS is an xml file which contains parameters about each component. An example of one of these parameters is . This parameter specifies the color that should be used to draw a rigid duct. The parameters are set within the Standard Definition dialog box. If the GVS is not used, then the projection of the HVAC objects in the Drawing behaves as in a Mechanical projection. For an overview of how to create a view using GVS, see Generating a Drawing View. |
