Reducer Rule

This section describes the Reducer Rule tables and how to customize them.

This page discusses:

Overview

This section provides a brief overview of the Reducer Rule tables.

The Reducer Rule table describes the rule to follow when connecting two routes of different sizes. If you want to connect the routes using a specific part, then the physical part subtype cell must be filled.

In Data Setup, this definition table should be assigned to:

  • when using file-based tables, the Reducer Rule item in the resource table of HVAC Design Resources.
  • when using Engineering Specification objects, a specification in the resource table of HVAC Specification Resources.

Table Description

This section describes the customization options of the Reducer Rule.

Sample Resource File

This section explains where to find the sample resource file.

The default location of XXX_XXX_ReducerRuleDefinition.xls is

..\startup\EquipmentAndSystems\Tray\Specification\

and then the relevant specification, such as SS150R.
