Overview
This section provides a brief overview of the Duct Specification table.
The Duct Specification table allows you to create filters between parts and a duct specification; it lists duct attributes for one specification. When searching for parts in the database, the system uses this table as an additional layer of filtration.
In Data Setup, this definition table should be assigned to:
- The Duct Specification item in the resource table of HVAC Discipline Resources.
- The value of Duct Specification in the Criteria column should be set to the name of the specification (for example Duct Specification = CS150R).
When users search catalogs and chapters for parts, there are three kinds of filters:
- The Standard value is blank: all values appear.
- The Standard value is set to a precise value: only parts which have this value appear.
- The Standard value is set to Unset: only parts which have a Standard keyword value equal to NULL appear.
