Port Section

In HVAC Design, when you select a part port or a parametic part port, the Port section appears in the Data Information panel. The editing of values depends on whether you are in Assembly or in Reference only.

Part Port

When you select a part port, you can edit some properties depending on whether you are in Assembly or in Reference only.

You can switch from a part port to a parametic part. For more information, see Switching from a Standard Part to a Parametric Part.

In Assembly

When you are in Assembly, the Port section displays the following properties:

Name Description Editable
Type Defines the type of the selected part port.
Port Type Defines the type of the selected port.
Functional Name Defines the functional name of the selected part port.
Standard Defines the standard in use.
End Style Defines the end style of the selected part port.
Nominal Size Defines the nominal size of the selected part port.
Rating Defines the rating of the selected part port.
Outside Diameter Defines the outside diameter of the selected part port.
Wall Thickness Defines the wall thickness of the selected part port.
Direction Defines the direction of the selected part port.

You can choose between In, Out, InOut and NoDirection.

In Reference only

Name Description Editable
Type Defines the type of the selected part port.
Port Type Defines the type of the selected port.
Functional Name Defines the functional name of the selected part port.
Standard Defines the standard in use.
End Style Defines the end style of the selected part port.
Nominal Size Defines the nominal size of the selected part port.
Rating Defines the rating of the selected part port.
Outside Diameter Defines the outside diameter of the selected part port.
Wall Thickness Defines the wall thickness of the selected part port.
Direction Defines the direction of the selected part port.

You can choose between In, Out, InOut and NoDirection.

Parametric Part Port

When you select a parametric part port, the Port section appears only if you are in Assembly. The following properties appear:

Name Description Editable
Type Displays the type of the parametric part port.
Port Type Displays the port type of the parametric part port.
Functional Name Displays the functional name of the parametric part port.
Standard Defines the standard of the parametric part port.

The available standards are taken from the Standard table.
End Style Defines the end style of the selected parametric part port.

The available end style values are taken from the End Style table according to the standard you chose.
Shape Defines the shape of the selected parametric part port.
Height and Diameter Defines the heigth and diameter of the selected parametric part port.

The available height and diameter values are taken from the Reference Dimension table.
Width Defines the width of the selected parametric part port.

The available width values are taken from the Reference Dimension table.
Corner Radius Defines the corner radius of the selected parametric part port.

The available corner radius values are taken from the Reference Dimension table.
Wall Thickness Defines the wall thickness of the selected parametric part port.

The available wall thickness values are taken from the Reference Dimension table.
Direction Defines the direction of the selected parametric part port.

You can choose between In, Out, InOut and NoDirection.
