Creating Gaps

You can create crimp surfaces with a constant gap distance on a support surface. The curve selected as guide defines the gap course.

Before you begin:

Open a 3D shape containing a surface and a curve.

  1. Select a curve as Guide and a surface as Support.
  2. In the Gap Type list, select Flange - Flange and click Apply.
  3. In the work area, increase the gap distance using the Distance handle.
  4. Modify length and angle of the flange on Side 2 using the Length and Angle handles.
