From the Edition section of the action bar, click Styling Extrapolate
.
Select a surface boundary.
In the Type area, select Tangential and then specify the length of the extrapolated shape by doing one of the following:
Drag the handle.
Right-click the handle and select Edit to edit the
position of the handle or Keep this point to keep a record of
its position.
Enter a Length value.
Note:
If you enter a negative value,
the resulting curve is created in the other direction.
The extrapolated shape is shown and the curvilinear length between the middle of the selected original
surface edge and the middle of the extended surface is displayed.
In the Type area, select Curvature and then
enter a Length value.
Note:
If Curvature is selected, you cannot use handles.
The surface is extrapolated according to its initial curvature. The curvilinear
length between the middle of the selected original surface edge and the middle of the
extended surface is displayed.
Click OK.
Optional: Select Exact.
The computation of the extrapolated surface is analytical with the resulting surface having
the same degree as the initial surface.
