Fragmenting Surfaces

You can fragment multi-segment elements into mono-segment elements.

Before you begin: Open a 3D shape contining a surface to fragment.
  1. Select a surface.
  2. From the Edition section of the action bar, click Fragmentation .
    Separator lines are displayed on the surface indicating the positions at which it will be fragmented.

  3. In the Type area, select the fragmentation type.
  4. Optional: Select Keep original in the App Options panel to keep the initial element.
  5. Click OK.
    The surface is fragmented into as many new elements as there were segments in the initial element.
