Creation of an offset curveThe original curve can be a 3D curve, a 2D curve or the edge of a surface. If the curve is a 2D curve or a surface edge, the offset curve can be created on the 2D curve or the surface, and the distance can be measured on the surface. ![]() Creation of a variable curve offsetAfter selecting the elements and executing the function you can insert additional offset values to create a variable curve offset. A point manipulator appears in the center of the original curve if the pointer is moved across this position. Using the left mouse button, this point manipulator can be moved along the curve to the desired position. A new vector manipulator will then be inserted at this position. Several offset manipulators can be inserted in this way. By switching on the option 'Individual', the vectors can be manipulated separately. ![]() |
