Creating Project Curves

You can project a curve onto a surface.

Before you begin: Open a 3D shape with a surface and a curve to be projected onto the surface.
  1. From the Curve section of the action bar, click Curve Projection .
  2. Select a curve as Element.
  3. Select a surface as Support.
  4. In the Direction area, select Selection in the Type box.
  5. Click Z to select the Z axis as direction.
  6. Click Apply.
The curve is projected on the surface.

  7. In the Extrapolation area, select G1 for Start.
  8. Click Apply.
The start position of the projected curve is tangentially extrapolated.
