Analyzing Using Iso-Curvature

You can create an analysis feature lying on a set of surfaces that displays the curvature according to the isoparametrics of a surface.

Before you begin: Open a 3D shape.
  1. From the Analysis section of the action bar, click Iso-Curvature Analysis .
  2. Select a surface and click Apply.
    • If Curvature is selected, the spikes display the curvatures (1/r). The longer the spike length the smaller is the curvature.

If spikes are not visible or too short, increase the Scale factor. If spikes are too long, decrease this factor.

    • If Radius is selected, the spikes display the curvature radii (r). The longer the spike length the larger is the curvature.

  3. Use the handle to move the iso-curve along U or V.
  4. Click OK.
