Creating an OmniPlane as Symmetry Plane Between Two Points

You can create symmetry planes between two selected point in the current plane or on entities.

Before you begin: Open a 3DShape containing two lines which do not run parallel and ly in different planes.
  1. Click OmniPlane .
  2. Select one point on one line and move the pointer to a point the other line.
A preview of the plane of type Plane from two lines which would be created with this selection is displayed. On the lines, the opposite points with the shortest distance to each other are detected. The plane will be created as symmetry plane between these points.

If the points are on curves, the tangents in the points are extended to detect the points with the shortest distance on the tangents.

  3. Click the 2nd point.
A temporary plane is created and Plane from two lines selected as favorite type in the selector panel.
  4. In the selector panel, click the alternative Symmetry Plane .
A temporary symmetry plane is created between the selected points.
  5. Click OK to open the OmniPlane panel.
