You can calculate and display the deviation of objects from reference
objects. A number of points are regularly distributed across the source (on patches and faces
in the u and v direction) and projected onto the
reference.
Before you begin: Open a 3D Shape.
In the Analyze panel, click Activate Analysis and Deviation.
Select elements and add them to the Source by clicking in the header of the Deviation section.
Select other elements and add them to the Reference by clicking .
Set the Projection direction of the points from the source to the reference.
Increase the Density.
Click Labels: Global to display all deviation values.
Click Calculate.
Select some source or reference elements and click .
The elements are removed from the input source or reference geometry and the analysis
is recomputed.
