There are two approaches to selecting objects based on which the decider determines the feature type.

  • Selection → action: Select the input geometry and then start the OmniFeature in the selector panel.

The icon of the OmniFeature for which the selection meets the conditions is highlighted.

  • Action → selection: Start the OmniFeature creation in the selector panel and then select the input geometry.

In the selector panel, the icon of the appropriate OmniFeature is highlighted and you can create the feature with OK.

The appearance of the feature icons indicates the status of the selection:

The selection meets the conditions of the highlighted command.

You can change the selection. If the selection meets the conditions for one of the commands available in the selector panel, the decider automatically changes to the appropriate command.

The selection must meet the conditions of the selected command. You cannot change the command by changing the selection or selecting additional objects.

The selection does not meet the conditions of the selected command.

You can change the selection until the conditions are met or click the icon. If the selection meets the conditions of another feature, the appropriate feature is highlighted.

The following commands use the selector panel:

  • OmniIntersect
  • OmniSurf
  • OmniFillet
