Creating a Patch in a Plane

You can create a patch in a plane. The plane can be a standard V-Nav plane or an OmniPlane.

  1. To select a plane, do one of the following:
    1. Select a standard plane by middle-clicking the corresponding V-Nav side. Click it to switch to the plane view.
    2. Select an OmniPlane.
  2. From the Surfacing section of the action bar, click OmniPatch .
  3. Define the position of the first point.
    A square patch with edges parallel to the selected plane and dimensions of approximately 1/3 of the current screen diagonal is created. The selected position is the center.

  4. To create a rectangular patch, define a second position.


  5. Do one of the following:
    • Validate the command to end the patch creation.
    • Define a third position to create a rhomboid patch.
    • Validate the command to end the patch creation.

    • Define a fourth position to create a tetragonal patch.
    Defining a fourth position validates the command automatically.
