Creating a Patch on a Support Surface

You can create a patch on a surface.


Before you begin: Open a 3D Shape containing a surface.

  1. Select a support surface.
  2. From the Surfacing section of the action bar, click OmniPatch .
  3. Click one to four positions on the support surface.

The patch is created on the support surface. The shape depends on the selected positions.

  • The first position creates a square patch in the normal plane of the selected point on the support surface.

  • The second position creates a square patch approximated to the surface shape.

  • The third position creates a rectangular patch on the surface.

  • The fourth position creates a tetragon.
