Defining Flange Parameters

You can define various parameters to influence the flange properties.

  1. Create a flange surface as described before.
  2. In the OmniSurf panel, select the Edge Direction Tangent to create a flange surface extended in tangent direction from the selected support surface edge.


  3. Select Fix Direction Z to create a flange surface in z direction of the xy-OmniPlane (model coordinate system).


  4. Use the robot to choose an individual vector direction.


  5. Go back to Edge Direction Normal and set an Angle unequal 0deg, for example -45deg.
    If Length is set to True, the flange length is measured along the actual direction.

  6. Set Length to Height.
    The flange length is measured along the basic direction.
