Creating a Surface on a Support Surface
You can select a support surface when creating a surface with the
OmniSurf
command.
Before you begin:
Open a 3D Shape containing curves and surfaces.

From the
Surfacing
section of the
action bar
, click
OmniSurf
or in the
work area
, press c + right-click and select OmniSurf
in the crown menu.
Select a curve.
In the selector panel, the surface type
Curve
is selected.
In the
work area
, panel, click
at the input curve and select a surface.
Click
OK
in the selector panel.
The flange surface is created from the projection of the input curve on the support surface.
Restart
OmniSurf
and select a surface edge.
The surface is automatically selected as support. The minus handle
indicates that a support surface is already selected.
Click
to clear the selection, select another support surface, and click
OK
in the selector panel.
The flange surface is created on the support surface from the projection of the input surface edge.
