Untrimming Objects

You can untrim cut objects, that is, you can restore the underlying geometry or remove the boundary of a cut object.

You can use two commands:

  • Uncut creates a feature. You can select as the input multiple cut edges or points of the same object.
  • Uncut (modifying) creates a datum. It directly modifies the input geometry and has no associativity. You can select as the input multiple cut edges or points of several objects.

See the following table to identify the input objects for a certain action:

Action Input Object
Restore the underlying surface Standalone face
Remove the edge Facebounding edge
Restore the underlying curve Standalone edge
Remove the vertex Vertex of a standalone edge
