About AEC Building and Spatial Elements (IFC 2x3)

The following table maps IFC 2x3 building and spatial elements to AEC product structures. These elements are sub-classes of IfcProduct.

Not all IFC building and spatial elements map to an AEC object. When a building or spatial element that does not map to an AEC object is imported, a product structure is created to contain any geometry that is associated with the building or spatial element
