Viewing Immersive Virtuality Content

View Immersive Virtuality Content lets you experience a human's viewpoint in an immersive manner using a HMD (Head-Mounted Display) device.

In a VR session, you can switch between two skillsets:

  • the Navigation skillset that lets you navigate through an environment
  • the Human Incarnation skillset that lets you capture a posture, to capture an animation, or to exit the human incarnation.

You must have the corresponding role to use the VR (virtual reality) mode in the app.

  1. In the VR Incarnation and Capture dialog box, change one or more VR incarnation options.
  2. Optional: Attach the tracking belt around your waist, and then attach the two other trackers on each foot.
  3. Put on your headset.
  4. Click Start.
The Navigation skillset is selected by default.
  5. In the Navigation skillset, select a navigation mode with the non-dominant hand controller.
  6. To switch to the Human Incarnation skillset, press the menu with the dominant hand controller.
The Human Incarnation skillset is selected.
  7. To select a human in the VR scene, do one of the following:
    • If you have selected Head for your incarnation scenario, aim at the human model with the laser, and press the trigger.
    • If you have selected Upper Body or Full Body for your incarnation scenario, do the following:
    1. Aim at the human model with the laser, and press the trigger.
    2. Follow the instructions.

The status of trackers can be green or red (only available if Full Body is selected).

In the following example, the connection is good as all the trackers appear as green.

Red Indicates that there is an issue with the connection of the tracker.

In the following example, an issue occurs as several trackers appear as red. You need to verify the connection of the trackers.

    3. When ready, press the trigger again.
You can now experience the human model's viewpoint. In the VR session, the controllers are hidden for a better experience.

You can capture a posture or body movements of the human model.

  8. To stop the VR mode, click again VR Incarnation and Capture .
Note: If the human is not active or selected, the screen viewpoint is used as a starting point for the simulation.
