Dimensioning Subdivision Surfaces

Control of Dimension lets you control the dimension and allow the sizing of a subdivision surface along an entire or half an axis.

Before you begin: Create a subdivision surface.
  1. Select the surface.
  2. From the Tools Palette, click one of the following:
    OptionDescription
    1D transformation Moves the vertices along the direction of the selected dimension.
    2D transformation Moves the vertices along the two displayed directions.
    3D transformation Moves the vertices along the three displayed directions.
    Half Axis Deformation Mode Sizes the surface along an half axis without moving or modifying dimension along other axis.
    Orthogonal View Change Automatically changes the view point to the closest view plane of the axis system.
    Robot Definition Modifies the origin and orientation of the Robot to define new axis system.
