You can use the edition panel and
impose numerical values using a grid.
Before you begin:
This capability is available with the Translation, Rotation and Affinity commands.
Create
a 3D shape containing a subdivision surface.
From the Shape Sculpt section of the action bar, click Modification
.
Optional: Click the surface.
Select one of the transformation commands.
From the Tools Palette, click Edition
.
Set the desired values.
Option
Description
Translation
Uses the grid to adjust the position of the axis. X, Y, and Z define
the coordinates of this position.
Robot Translation
Translates the Robot according to the selected vertices.
Coordinates Alignment
Aligns the selected vertices according to X, Y, or Z coordinates.
When activated, the Robot at the
Origin icon is unavailable.
Robot at the Origin
Resets the current Robot position and centers the subdivision
surface to the origin (provided View centered
is selected in Me
> Preferences > App Preferences > 3D Modeling > Styling). For more information, see General.
Rotation
Imposes the rotation angle.
Affinity
Imposes the dimension of the bounding box view.
Attraction
Uses the grid to adjust the weight applied to edges or vertices.
