Using the Edition Panel

You can use the edition panel and impose numerical values using a grid.

Before you begin:
  • This capability is available with the Translation, Rotation and Affinity commands.
  • Create a 3D shape containing a subdivision surface.
  1. From the Shape Sculpt section of the action bar, click Modification .
  2. Optional: Click the surface.
  3. Select one of the transformation commands.
  4. From the Tools Palette, click Edition .
  5. Set the desired values.
    OptionDescription
Translation Uses the grid to adjust the position of the axis. X, Y, and Z define the coordinates of this position.
Robot Translation Translates the Robot according to the selected vertices.
Coordinates Alignment Aligns the selected vertices according to X, Y, or Z coordinates. When activated, the Robot at the Origin icon is unavailable.
Robot at the Origin Resets the current Robot position and centers the subdivision surface to the origin (provided View centered is selected in Me > Preferences > App Preferences > 3D Modeling > Styling ). For more information, see General.
    Rotation Imposes the rotation angle.
Affinity Imposes the dimension of the bounding box view.
Attraction Uses the grid to adjust the weight applied to edges or vertices.
