Hiding the Mesh

You can hide the mesh to lighten its visualization during the manipulation or modification of the subdivision surface.


Before you begin: Create a 3D shape containing a subdivision surface.
  1. From the Shape Sculpt section of the action bar, click Modification .
  2. Click the subdivision surface.


  3. From the Tools Palette, click Mesh View .
    Tip: You can also access this command by pressing CTRL+ALT+X.

    The icon changes to and the visualization of the subdivision surface is lightened:

    During the selection, only the preselected element (that is the element that is closest to the pointer) is shown.

  4. Press Crtl to show all selected elements:


    Note: In the Affinity mode, the representation of the bounding box is also hidden. Only its dimensions remain visible.
