Selecting an Object

You can select all the elements of an object at once, without explicitely selecting its elements. It is available with the Translation, Local Normals, Rotation, and Affinity commands.

Before you begin: Create a 3D shape containing a subdivision surface.
From the Tools Palette, click Object Selection .
The object is selected and you can manipulate it.
Notes: When this mode is selected:
  • The following commands are hidden: Linear Propagation, Loop Propagation, Fill Propagation, All Elements Selection and Selection Inversion.
  • Provided you have selected elements, the following commands are cleared but the selection is kept when you leave the option: Automatic Selection, Face Selection, Edge Selection, and Vertex Selection.
