Snapping Vertices from a Subdivision Surface to Another One
You can quickly snap the vertices of a subdivision surface onto the vertices of
another subdivision surface.
Before you begin: Create
a 3D shape containing a subdivision surface.
From the Tools Palette, click Multi Snap
.
Click the source vertex and then click the target vertex.
Perform the same operation for each vertex.
Notes:
By default, the Mirror Snap option is selected. Select a
group of connected vertices on the source mesh and move the pointer on the target
mesh line. The position of the pointer gives a visual feedback where the alignment
starts.
If you select
Fitting, the connected part of the mesh is surimposed:
You can press Alt+Pick to change where the alignments
starts.
