Exploring Interferences in Products

You can explore a product and view the interferences that are present in the product assembly. You can view interferences that are present within the current assembly, within visible assemblies, and between assemblies.

Before you begin: Compute interference simulation for a product.
  1. Search for the product linked to an interference simulation.
  2. Right-click the required product in the search results, and select Explore.
The selected product appears in the Product Finder app.
Note: You can click , displayed next to the name of the product in the tree or double-click the product in the turntable, to expand the product to view its assemblies and parts.
  3. From the Tools section of the action bar, select B.I. Essentials.
    The B.I. Essentials panel appears.
  4. Select Interferences from the list and select the product in either the tree or the turntable..
The color of the product changes based on the type of interference and the label appears displaying the interference specifications of the selected object.
    Notes:
    • For a feature with multiple interferences, the color of the feature is based on the worst case. For example, if a feature clashes and is in contact with another feature, it appears in red color to indicate the clash, which is the worst case.
    • In the tree, the color is also displayed next to the name of the product .
    • When you explore the product for the first time, the color is based on the interferences between the product and already expanded products only. If the product contains interferences between its parts, and if it is not expanded, then the color is not based on those interferences.
