Generating a Drawing

You can generate a drawing of insulations using Generative View Style (GVS).

Before you begin:

Open a product.
Select Me > Preferences > App Preferences > 3D Modeling > Mechanical Systems > Drafting > Administration and clear the Disable generative view style usage check box.
In Data Setup,
- Set the annotation catalog in the Insulation Resources table. See Insulation Resources: Available Resources.
- Set the insulation GVS in the Standard Resources table. See Standard Resources: Available Resources.
The sample annotation catalog and GVS are kept at ...\startup\Insulation\Drafting.

From the Compass, click Drafting.
From the View Layout section of the action bar, click Front View .
In the Generative view style dialog box, select the Insulation_GenerativeDFT file from the list.
Select the projection plane in the 3D area or the tree.
Click anywhere on the sheet to generate the projection view.
The view is generated based on the parameters set in the GVS for insulations.
