3DEXPERIENCE Save Dialog Box

The 3DEXPERIENCE Save dialog box appears when you select 3DEXPERIENCE > Save or 3DEXPERIENCE > Quick Save Active.

Column Name	Description
Status	The status of each document is indicated by one of the following icons: : Document is new and does not exist in 3DEXPERIENCE Platform. : Document is modified as compared to the current iteration stored in 3DEXPERIENCE Platform. : Document is up-to-date. Current iteration is same in both CAD and 3DEXPERIENCE Platform. : Document is not locked by you and modified. A warning message appears when you save documents with this status in the Save dialog box. Click Yes to save or click No to return to the Save dialog box. Note: To enable this message, ensure that the Report unlocked modified documents check box is selected. : Displayed for following status of document, depending on the text of tool tip that appears when you pause mouse over the status icon: Obsolete: Later iteration of document exists in 3DEXPERIENCE Platform. If you save this document, modifications performed in the latest iteration are reverted. Note: You must have specific rights and settings to save the document and create a new iteration. Document not found on disk or in 3DEXPERIENCE Platform: Missing document or non-file document (VPMV5, VPMV4, or SmarTeam).
Action	The default action selected for documents. One of the following actions is displayed depending on the status of document in the Status column: : Documents are included for save. This is set for all new or modified documents and new embedded components with a unique name. : Documents are selected for force save. For documents with status, the Actions column is blank. To force save these documents, click the Actions column. : Documents cannot be saved because document is not included for save. : Documents cannot be saved because of one of the following reasons: The document selected for save is locked by another user. The document is obsolete and leap frogging is disabled. Saving to the target revision is not allowed. In particular, this can happen when trying to save a recent revision of a document to an older revision
	Name of the workspace or project folder, or folders that contain document. If there are several folders, the additional folders are listed in a tooltip.
Name	Name of document that is also the name of associated 3DEXPERIENCE Platform object. Note: Use of Brackets ( ) in the Assembly family name is not supported.
Rev	You can select the revision to save a document using the following methods: For a new document, click the revision to save the document to the first available revision in the sequence. For example, A.0. For a modified document, click the revision and select a revision from the list of existing revisions. The document is saved to the selected revision. To enter a custom revision to save your documents, click the revision and type in the custom revision. The iteration is appended automatically to the revision. For example, if the revision is entered as `H`, the revision is displayed as `H.0` in the Save dialog box. If you try to save a document that does not have privileges to save to the selected revision, an error message appears. Note: Note the following points By default, documents are saved to their current revision. If you do not have rights to save to the selected revision, is displayed in the Action colulmn. Pause over to view the reason.
	The current lock status. One of the following icons is displayed for the listed documents: : The document is locked by the current user. : The document is locked by another user, whose name is appended. : The document is not locked. Note: Documents cannot be locked and unlocked from the Save dialog box.
Locked By	Owner of the document lock.
Type	Type of 3DEXPERIENCE Platform object associated with a document. For new documents, click the type name and select the document type to which document should be saved from the list. By default, there is only one available type for each kind of document which can be saved to 3DEXPERIENCE Platform through the connector.
State	Current lifecycle state of the document in 3DEXPERIENCE Platform.
Description	Description text entered while saving the document to 3DEXPERIENCE Platform.
Collaborative Space	Name of the project associated with a document. This column is displayed only in the baseline behavior setup.

The options when you right-click a design in the 3DEXPERIENCE Save dialog box are as follows:

If the RMB menu is active for one file and not available for another file and if you multi select such objects, the RMB menu is will not be available for both.


Option	Action
Exclude	Excludes the selected documents from save.
Include	Includes the selected documents for save.
Revise	Saves the selected documents to the next revision in the revision sequence. For more information, see Revising Designs.
Autoname	Assigns a name automatically to the selected designs. A name is assigned for the selected designs as per the autoname series set for each type in the Save Options dialog box. For more information, see Using Autoname.
Explore	Displays the Properties of a document in web UI. This command can only be used on a single document.
Edit Derived Outputs Selection	Set the specific types of derived outputs for each document type in the current save session.
Show CAD Attributes	View attributes of selected designs if CAD to MX attribute mapping is done. For more information, see Viewing Attributes of a Design.
